Liebster Arnold. – Heute beginnt also schon die zweite Woche von den dreien. Wird’s ein Ende nehmen! Mir ist seit zwei Tagen nicht recht wohl. Ich hab einen verdorbenen Magen. Aber du brauchst dich nicht sorgen es ist absolut nichts Besonderes. Die angekündigten Sachen, sind bis jetzt nicht da. Trudi freut sich schon sehr darauf. Du fragst ob das Klavier gut ist. Was versteh’ ich denn davon? Ich denke so wie das vorjährige. – In deinem letzten Brief fragst du auch was ich Fracht zahlen mußte, ich hab dir doch geschrieben, daß ich nichts bis jetzt gezahlt habe, da niemand was verlangt hat. Ich glaube die Fracht für unsere Sachen macht 7 Kronen 50 hl. aus. Heute Nacht haben wir ein furchtbares Unwetter gehabt. Es war ein arges Gewitter und der See hat einen schrecklichen Lärm gemacht. Überhaupt Stürme sind hier jetzt was entsetzliches. – Denk dir nur wenn’s windig ist können wir in unserer Küche kein Feuer machen. Eine angenehme Geschichte was? Sonst sind wir ganz zufrieden. Die Hausleute ganz nett. Die Bootswinden hat er aber noch nicht gemacht. Für Zemlinsky’s haben wir bis jetzt nichts gefunden. Ich glaube auch kaum daß noch Aussicht ist. Alex soll sich um Wohnung umschaun. – Geht’s dir gut mein liebes Herzerl. Wenn nur diese ekelhafte Zeit schon vorüber wäre. Ich freue mich schon riesig auf dich. Trudi auch aber auch auf das Mitbringen. Görgi sagt wenn man ihn fragt wo du bist “Papa Godl holen gutes Hami” also darfst du auch nicht vergessen Welches mitzubringen.

Dearest Arnold. – Today begins the second week of the three. Will it ever end? I have not been feeling well for the last two days. I have an upset stomach. But you needn’t worry, it is nothing special. The promised things have not yet arrived. Trudi is looking forward to them a lot. You ask whether the piano is alright. What do I understand about that? I think it is like last year’s. In your last letter, you asked me, how much I had to pay for freight, but I have written to you, that I have not paid anything so far, since nobody asked for payment. I think the freight for our things should cost 7 Kronen 50 Hellers. Tonight we have had terrible weather. It was a bad thunderstorm and the lake made a terrible noise. There are terrible storms here. – Just think, that when it is windy, we cannot make a fire in the kitchen. A nice affair, what? Otherwise, we are quite satisfied. The landlords are quite nice. He has not yet fixed the boat winch. We have not found anything for the Zemlinskys yet. I think there is hardly any chance. Alex should look for a flat. Are you doing well, my darling? I only wish this revolting time were over. I am looking forward to your coming tremendously. Trudi too, but also to any gifts. If one asks Görgi where you are he says “Papa has goodies for me”, so you must not forget to bring something.
