Mein liebes, liebes Herzerl.
– Also heute in 8 Tagen kommst du schon mein Lieber, ich werde immer ungeduldiger. Was macht unsere Alte?
Mathilde

My dear dear sweetheart.
You are cross with me, even though you do not admit it. But really unjustly. Look, I write everything to you that goes on here. More is impossible. Therefore, I am telling you, that I love you and long for you. Is that not enough for you? There is simply no more to say. – I have just told Görgi that I will write to you and he said (yes) Bübi good. He thinks I should write that to you. – Trudi is alternately very naughty and very well-behaved and sweet. You can write a few lines for her in every letter, urging her to be good, I will read it to her, that can’t do any harm. – What is happening about painting the children’s room? Why don’t you tell me about that? – I asked mother about Werndorf. She has decided to have her things put into the room today already. I must say, I find it a bit much from Alex. – Well, you will come in 8 days, my dear and I am getting more and more impatient. Today I got a picture postcard from Gerstl, the second one. I will send him one if there is an occasion. Did he tell you that I have written to him once? How is our old maid? Are you still satisfied with her? When will you start to pack? Are you sending things in advance? You can bring a clothes brush as well. – I wrote to Ida for mother a few days ago, but she didn’t answer. Mother is naturally annoyed and in a bad mood. Perhaps you are saying something down there. I greet and kiss you a thousand times my dear, your
Mathilde
